What disclosure and financial information will I receive from portfolio companies?

You'll receive quarterly updates (when available from the company), annual K-1 tax forms, and notifications about material events like new funding rounds, exits, or status changes.

The level of information you receive depends on the stage and type of company you've invested in. Private companies are not required to publish financial reports like public companies.

What Wealt provides?

Investment memo (at deal stage): Detailed company analysis including business model, financials, market opportunity, team, and risks

Quarterly updates: When available from the portfolio company - performance metrics, milestones, and material news

Valuation updates: Quarterly mark-to-market based on latest funding round, 409A valuation, or comparable data

Annual K-1 tax forms: Your share of SPV income/losses for tax filing

Event-driven notifications: New funding rounds, exit announcements, distribution notices

What to expect by company stage?

Unlike public companies, private companies are not legally required to share financial details with investors. The level of transparency varies by company. Wealt encourages portfolio companies to provide quarterly updates, but we cannot guarantee the frequency or depth of reporting.
