What documents do I need for KYC?

Government-issued ID (passport, id cards, or driver's license), a live selfie, and proof of accreditation where required.

Wealt uses SumSub for secure identity verification. Here's what you need:

  • Government-issued photo ID (one of the following): Passport, National ID card, Driver's licence

    • The document must be: Valid (not expired), clearly readable (no glare, blur, or obstruction)

    • Showing your full legal name

  • Live selfie: You'll take a live selfie so we can match your face to your ID photo. This is done through your device's camera β€” no separate photos needed.

  • Proof of accreditation (where required):

    • US investors: Tax returns, bank statements, or a letter from a CPA/attorney confirming net worth >$1M or income >$200K

    • UK investors: Self-certification as a sophisticated/high-net-worth investor

Tips for a smooth verification

  • Use good lighting - natural light works best

  • Ensure all four corners of your ID are visible

  • Remove sunglasses or hats for the selfie

  • Make sure the name on your ID matches your Wealt account name.

The verification process usually completes within minutes, but may take up to 3 business days in some cases.
