The setup fee is a one-time charge applied when you invest in a deal through Wealt.
Legal structuring: Creating the SPV entity, drafting operating agreements and subscription documents
Compliance: KYC/AML checks, accreditation verification, regulatory filings
Administration: Fund administration, investor onboarding, bank account setup
Platform operations: Deal sourcing, due diligence, investor communications
How is it calculated?
The setup fee is a percentage of your investment amount, typically 6%. The exact percentage is shown on every deal page.
Example:
You would like to invest $10,000 in a deal with a 6% setup fee
Setup fee = $10,000 Γ 6% = $600
Total amount you wire = $10,600 (or $10,000 with $600 deducted from your investment, depending on the deal terms β this is specified in the subscription agreement)
When is it charged?
Setup fees are charged once, at the time of your investment. If the deal doesn't close (e.g., it doesn't reach its minimum raise), your funds, including the setup fee, are returned in full.
